Junior Golfers from The First Tee To Attend Par-3 Championship June 13-18, 2017
The First Tee Par-3 Championship is a 36-hole individual stroke play golf competition at The Kanawha Club in Richmond, Va. Boys and girls will play in separate categories. At the conclusion of the 36 holes a boy and girl par-3 champion will be determined.
An 9-hole Territory Cup event will be played in a modified Ryder Cup format. The territory with the highest point’s value will be the winner and awarded the Territory Cup after the final round.
Participants also work on life skill development through dorm living, interaction with participants from around the country and guest speakers. By the end of the week they will have a better understanding of competitive golf rules and regulations and will be ready to act as leaders and role models for other participants at their local chapters.
A maximum of 32 participants are invited to play in the event – 16 boys and 16 girls. Of the 32 selected to play in the event 16 will be from the East Territory and the other 16 will be from the West Territory (8 girls and 8 boys from each Territory).
