Each year, millions of parents take their children to work for a fun and educational day known as “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” This year, Johnson & Johnson employees at the New Jersey headquarters treated their children to a full day of activities that included a golf clinic by The First Tee of Greater Trenton.
Not only was the event an opportunity to expose children to different jobs and careers at an early age, but was also a chance to introduce more young people to the core values of golf–respect, courtesy, responsibility and integrity–that are also essential life skills.
As The First Tee works towards a goal of reaching an additional 10 million young people between 2011 and 2017, a matching grant program for chapter donations has been established to help grow and expand programs, thanks to support from Johnson & Johnson.
Michael Sneed, Vice President, Global Corporate Affairs, Johnson & Johnson, has stated about the partnership, “Johnson & Johnson and The First Tee share a common commitment to developing lifelong values in today’s youth. The First Tee is already positively impacting the lives of millions of young people through its efforts in communities and schools across the country and in select international locations. Our goal is to help significantly expand its reach and impact.”
