Robin “Awesome” Dawson from The First Tee of Ireland won the Irish Boys Amateur Open Championship after a dramatic three-hole playoff with England’s Marco Penge at Lisburn Golf Club in Northern Ireland. Robin remained composed and focused, needing two putts at the end to secure the Championship.
This victory is an amazing highlight of what has been a hugely successful last three years for Robin on both the domestic and international golf scene where he has represented Ireland on numerous occasions at different age levels.

A few days after his marvelous achievement, Robin joined The First Tee of Ireland’s July Summer Camp at Faithlegg Golf Club. He assisted in the coaching of some young participants who were eager to learn new skills from the newly crowned national champion.
